Gas Compression

Production from oil and gas wells can be increased using compression. Reduction of backpressure in well bores, increased pressures into sales lines, and recovery of hydrocarbon vapors from stock tanks enhances production. Unimac LP offers solutions tailored to your specific application, we focus on selecting the correct compression design to maximize production uplift and minimize initial cost.

Lobe Blowers

Rotary lobe blowers are ideally suited for "unconventional gas" applications such as enhancing the rate of desorption in coal bed methane wells or Landfill gas extraction. In most cases the rotary lobe blower will produce a one atmosphere (15 PSI) boost from the inlet connection to the outlet, with a maximum discharge pressure up to 25 PSIG. A wide range of gas flows from 50 to 6,000 MSCFDto are available.

A rotary lobe blower is very efficient (MCFD per inut HP) and is a good choice if the application is withinn the differential pressure capability of a lobe blower. A rotary lobe blower has a dry compression chamber and does not require a separate coolant-sealing circuit like a flooded screw, liquid ring or vane design.

Rotary Screw

Rotary Screw Compressors are very cost-effective for handling high volumes of gas in field gathering, wellhead compression, vapor recovery, and other applications. Rotary screw gas compressors offer a wide range of flows from 20 to 15,000 MSCFD. The lubricated screw can discharge at up to 350 PSIG and accept suction presssures down to 20" Hg VAC.

Smooth operation results from no unbalanced forces and no pressure pulsation. No foundation is required and there are no piping vibrations from pressure pulsation. Relatively low maintenance and high reliability are inherent with rotary screws because they have few moving parts, there are no valves, rings or packing to wear out or cause loss of efficiency.
