The “Q Series” is a family of PD blower packages from 15 to 100 HP with pressures to 15 PSI. The enclosure features a structural steel base with forklift slots, making installation simple. A steel frame provides a support structure for the noise reduction panels. Panels are held in place by latches sealed to a structural steel frame with a vinyl gasket trim.
Powder Coated steel panels are 2” thick constructed of 16 gauge sheet steel, lined with 4lb density mineral wool with a 22 gauge perforated metal interior skin cover.
Service access is fast with quick release latches and easy to remove panels. The weather proof design means it can be installed outdoors.
A large cooling fan directs fresh air into and out of the enclosure keeping the interior very close to the ambient outside temperature.
The panel mounted instrument group includes outlet pressure, discharge temperature, and inlet filter gauges.
For each model, proper blower selection is made by carefully considering bearing life, % of max. PSI, speed, temperature rise and noise level.
Motor nameplate HP is not exceeded even at relief valve settings. This leaves a 15% service factor for extra safety. All inlet and discharge losses of the filter, silencers and check valves are factored in the performance calculations.
Belt drives are designed for maximum belt life and minimum bearing load, with a service factor of 140 to 200 % used.
Superior noise levels are achieved through a combination of design elements. Proper blower selection, premium quality silencers, and sound reduction enclosure deliver a very quiet package.
