This design features a "B Series" with a discharge silencer. A heavy duty base plate provides a rigid mounting platform for the blower, motor and drive. Generally they are supplied with an intake filter, relief valve, and gauge (pressure or vacuum).
The B series is a family of PD blower packages from 2 HP to 75 HP with pressures to 15 PSI. The discharge silencer reduces the noise and pulsation energy generated by the blower. Silencers are positioned as close to the blower connections as possible to maximize their effectiveness. A number of options are available to “customize” the package for your application.
For each model, proper blower selection is made by carefully considering bearing life, % of max. PSI, speed, temperature rise and noise level.
Motor nameplate HP is not exceeded even at relief valve settings. This leaves a 15% service factor for extra safety. All inlet and discharge losses of the filter, silencers and check valves are factored in the performance calculations.
Belt drives are designed for maximum belt life and minimum bearing load, with a service factor of 140 to 200 % used.
